Ethel La Blanche
Ethel La Blanche (born Ethel LaPlanche; April 17, 1904 – April 28, 1992) was an American screenwriter and actress known for Westerns. She was born in San Francisco to Valentin LaPlanche and Katherine Riley, and the family moved to Los Angeles when she was young. As a teenager, she worked as a stenographer at a film studio and acted in small parts in Mack Sennett short films in the early 1930s. She used the professional name Ethel La Blanche. In the late 1930s and early 1940s, she wrote several B-movies, including Pirates on Horseback, Flirting with Fate, and Exile Express. She died in Los Angeles at age 88.
