Ethan Hampton
Ethan Hampton is an American college football quarterback for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. He was born in Geneva, Illinois, is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 216 pounds. He played high school football at Aurora Christian in Aurora, Illinois, where he put up big numbers in both his sophomore and junior seasons.
Hampton started his college career at Northern Illinois (2021–2024). He appeared in 11 games and started four, completing 95 of 165 passes for 968 yards, nine touchdowns and eight interceptions. In the 2024 season opener, he started and threw 18 of 20 for 328 yards and five touchdowns in a win over Western Illinois, earning MAC offensive player of the week. In Week 2, he went 10 of 19 for 198 yards and a touchdown in an upset of #5 Notre Dame.
He entered the transfer portal on December 1, 2024. He briefly joined Wake Forest on December 14, 2024 before decommitting the next day, then transferred to Illinois on December 19, 2024. He is listed as a Southern Miss quarterback for the 2026 season and beyond.
