Eternal Rituals for the Accretion of Light is the third full-length studio album by American art rock band Junius. It was released on March 3, 2017, through Prosthetic Records and recorded at Will Benoit's Radar Studios in Clinton, Connecticut. The album runs 45 minutes and 29 seconds and was produced by Will Benoit.

Background
After long-time guitarist Michael Repasch-Nieves and bassist Joel Munguia Reynolds left the group, Joseph E. Martinez wrote and recorded the album in 15 months with Dana Filloon on drums. Circle Takes the Square member Drew Speziale contributed additional vocals and lyrics on “A Mass for Metaphysicians” and “Clean the Beast.” Munguia Reynolds later returned to the band as their touring bass player.

Concept and trilogy
Eternal Rituals for the Accretion of Light continues Junius’s cycle of concept albums. It follows The Martyrdom of a Catastrophist and Reports from the Threshold of Death, moving from the soul’s journey after death toward reincarnation. In this record, the soul is reborn and seeks to break free of Samsara. The ten tracks are meant to guide an Initiate toward transcendence and complete the band’s trilogy.

Reception
The album received generally positive reviews. Revolver named “Clean the Beast” one of their top 50 songs of 2017. It earned Album of the Year honors from Rock and Roll Fables, appeared on several year-end lists, and was noted by Metal Sucks, Vancouver Weekly, Godless, and The Metal Podcast, among others. All tracks were written by Junius.

Formats
Eternal Rituals for the Accretion of Light was released on CD, in a limited edition vinyl, and as a digital download.
