Ernest Henley (athlete)

Ernest John Henley (31 March 1889 – 14 March 1962) was a British sprinter who competed in the 400 metres. He was born in Brighton, England, and died there at age 72. Henley ran for the Brighton & County Harriers club. In 1912, he finished third in the 440 yards at the AAA Championships, behind Cyril Seedhouse. Later that year, he represented Great Britain at the Stockholm Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the 4×400 metre relay with teammates George Nicol, James Soutter, and Cyril Seedhouse.
