St. John High School was a private, Roman Catholic high school in Ennis, Texas, affiliated with St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in the Dallas Diocese. Located at 701 S Paris Street, Ennis, TX 75119, it started as St. John Catholic School in 1912 and added a high school in 1939 for grades 9–12. The school’s colors were blue and gold, and its mascot was the Crusader. It closed in July 2008 due to declining enrollment and financial shortfalls (138 students K–12; about $250,000 in shortfalls). The last principal was Chris Rebuck, who later became Dean of Students and then President at Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas. St. John belonged to the Texas Christian Interscholastic League (TCIL) until 2000, then joined TAPPS until closure. Its rivals included T.K. Gorman High School and Notre Dame High School.
