The 2017 Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks season was the club’s 51st in the NRL. Coached by Shane Flanagan and captained by Paul Gallen and Wade Graham, they played their home games at Shark Park. The Sharks finished 5th in the regular season and reached the finals, finishing as Qualifying Finalists.

They had 15 wins and 9 losses, scoring 476 points and conceding 407. The CEO was Lyall Gorman, with Steve Price as assistant coach. Average attendance at home games was 12,953.

Top scorers for the season were Sosaia Feki with 13 tries and James Maloney with 161 points from 71 goals. The team’s success came from contributions across the squad, including Gerard Beale, Ricky Leutele, Luke Lewis, Jayden Brailey, Matt Prior, Paul Gallen, Valentine Holmes, Chad Townsend, Jayson Bukuya and others.
