Epermenia dracontias
Epermenia dracontias is a small moth in the family Epermeniidae, found in southern India. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1917 and has a wingspan of about 14 mm. The forewings are grey with blackish specks and feature a black streak along the basal fourth of the dorsum (the lower edge). Along the costa there are several small black spots, and in the middle of the wing there are three small black spots outlined in white arranged in a line from about two-fifths to three-fourths of the wing. A thick blackish longitudinal streak runs from these toward the wing tip and connects to a fascia that reaches the costa and dorsum. On the dorsum there is a semioval white spot containing two black dots. There are strong projections of grey scales tipped with black along the edge before the middle, at about two-thirds, and near the tornus. The hindwings are light grey.
