Elvis is Elvis Presley’s eighteenth studio album, released on July 16, 1973. It was recorded from March 1971 to March 28, 1972 at RCA Studio in Hollywood and RCA Studio B in Nashville. The album blends country and pop and runs about 25 minutes. Felton Jarvis produced the record for RCA Victor.

The album is sometimes called The "Fool" Album because the first track, "Fool," appears under Elvis’s name on the cover. In the United States, "Fool" was the B-side to "Steamroller Blues" from the Aloha from Hawaii Via Satellite concert, while in the UK it was released as the A-side and reached No. 15 on the charts.

The tracks "Fool" and "Where Do I Go From Here" were recorded in March 1972; "It's Impossible" is a live performance from Las Vegas in February 1972 during a 57-show run; the remaining songs are leftovers from the March and May 1971 Nashville sessions. Three songs feature Presley on piano: "It's Still Here," "I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen," and "I Will Be True." These piano tracks were later reissued in the 1980 boxed set Elvis Aron Presley, which also includes "Fool."

Four other songs from the album were reissued on later releases: "It's Impossible" (Pure Gold, 1975), "Padre" (He Walks Beside Me, 1978), "(That's What You Get) For Lovin' Me" (A Canadian Tribute, 1978), and "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" (Our Memories Of Elvis Volume 2, 1979).

The album sold over 1 million copies worldwide. RCA reissued it on CD in 1994 and again in 2010 on the Follow That Dream collectors label.
