Elfie Mayerhofer (15 March 1917 – 28 December 1992) was an Austrian film actress and singer. Born in Maribor, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, she became a popular stage performer and played lead roles in musical and operetta films, including The Song of the Nightingale (1944) and The Heavenly Waltz (1949). She was known as the Viennese Nightingale. Her film career lasted from 1938 to 1968. She died in Maria Enzersdorf, Austria, at the age of 75.
