Hunan University of Finance and Economics is a public college in Yuelu District, Changsha, Hunan, China. It was founded in April 1933 as Housheng Private Accounting Institute and renamed Hunan College of Finance and Economics in 2010; it is now known by its current name. The campus covers about 760 mu.

The university has around 12,000 students and about 730 faculty and staff. It comprises one college and seven departments, offering about 36 undergraduate majors. The library holds more than 920,000 items.

In 2023, it ranked 2nd in Hunan and 40th nationwide among finance, business, and economics universities in the Best Chinese Universities Ranking, and about 12,316th in the world according to Webometrics.
