Ek Thi Ladki is a 1949 Hindi action-comedy directed by Roop K. Shorey. It stars Meena Shorey as Meena and Motilal as Ranjeet, with Kuldip Kaur and Agha in supporting roles. The film was produced by Shorey Films, with cinematography by Anwar Pabani and editing by Pran Mehra.

The music is by Vinod, with lyrics by Aziz Kashmiri and a story by I. S. Johar. A famous Punjabi song from the movie is “Laara Lappa Laara Lappa Layi Rakhda,” sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Satish Batra and Mohammad Rafi. The film runs about 164 minutes.

Plot: Meena runs away from two men who are blackmailing her for a crime she did not commit. During her escape, she meets Ranjeet, who is about to marry his boss’s daughter but falls in love with Meena.

Meena Shorey became famously known as the "Larra Lappa" girl after this film.
