Eifo HaYeled
Eifo HaYeled, which means “Where’s the Kid” in Hebrew, is an Israeli alternative rock band. They started in 1986 in Givat Brenner and helped shape Israeli rock in the 1990s. Their first album, Sugar Time, came out in 1993. The band’s first drummer, Omer Degani, was often late for rehearsals. The others started joking in English, “Where’s the kid?”, and the name stuck.
The band broke up in 1998 and got back together in 2009. In 2014, at a Tel Aviv rally for residents of southern Israel, lead singer Hemi Rudner changed the words of their hit “Does Anyone Hear Me?” to “Does anyone hear you?” to show support. In June 2023, Eifo HaYeled opened for Guns N’ Roses at Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park, playing for more than 60,000 fans.
