Charles W. Sydnor Jr.
Charles W. Sydnor Jr. (August 26, 1943 – November 28, 2025) was an American historian who studied the Holocaust and World War II. He served as the Executive Director of the Virginia Holocaust Museum. His doctoral thesis, Soldiers of Destruction: A History of the SS Death's Head Division, 1933-1945, was published in 1977 by Princeton University Press, with a revised edition in 1990. Sydnor died on November 28, 2025, at age 82.
