Edwin Jack Bosi
Edwin Jack Bosi is a Malaysian politician and veterinarian who served as the Sabah State Legislative Assembly member for Kapayan from May 2013 to May 2018. He is of Kadazandusun descent and began his political career with the Democratic Action Party (DAP), becoming its first Kadazandusun assemblyman.
In 2015, he faced an injunction that barred him and other opposition leaders from Bersih’s May Day rally, and he announced plans to challenge a ban on the word "secession" in the Sabah legislature. He abstained on a vote about barring PKR leaders Nurul Izzah Anwar and Tian Chua after a meeting with Jacel Kiram III’s daughter.
In 2016 there were rumours he had resigned from DAP, which he denied, but he was later appointed deputy state party chairman. In 2017 he was suspended by DAP for comments about defending his seat and criticizing the state chairman, and in August 2017 he resigned from DAP. He then joined ANAK NEGERI in October 2017.
In 2018 he ran for the Penampang federal seat in a four-way race and finished last with 445 votes (about 1%). In 2020 he stood for Kapayan in Sabah’s state election as a PBS candidate and finished fourth with 803 votes (about 4%).
In 2022 he supported Ewon Benedick of Pakatan Harapan–GRS for Penampang, who won the seat. He is related to the Lasimbang sisters, Jennifer and Jannie, who are also politicians.
As of 2025, his party affiliations include ANAK NEGERI (2017–2019, 2024–2025) and KDM (since 2025), with past ties to DAP and PBS, among others.
