Edgar George Leonard Howitt (12 September 1909 – 1975) was an English rower. He was born in Surrey and later died in Reading. Howitt rowed for London Rowing Club. At the 1930 British Empire Games in Hamilton, Ontario, he competed for England in the men's eight and won a gold medal. He worked as a clerk at the time of the Games.
