Dying Is Fine
Dying Is Fine is a 3:51 indie rock song by Ra Ra Riot. Written in January 2006 and inspired by an E. E. Cummings poem about dying and death, it was one of the band's first songs. The track was released in 2007 as a single and later reworked for their debut album The Rhumb Line, which came out in 2008. It was recorded during a Daytrotter session on October 15, 2007, and appeared on multiple releases, including the 2007 Ra Ra Riot EP and a single for V2 Records. The Rhumb Line, released on Barsuk Records, includes the updated version. Writers credited are E. E. Cummings, Ra Ra Riot, and John Pike. Dying Is Fine was also named Spinner’s Free MP3 of the Day on July 17, 2008.
