Palenzuela is a small municipality in Palencia province, Castile and León, Spain. It covers about 75.7 square kilometers and sits at around 802 meters above sea level. As of January 2025, about 212 people live there, making it a sparsely populated area. Historically, Palenzuela was an important banking center for a Sephardic noble family known as the Barons of Palenzuela Vienveniste Ha Levi Ha Kahana, who were connected with Catherine of Lancaster and later with the Habsburg rulers Charles V and Philip II.
