Nashwauk Township is a rural township in Itasca County, Minnesota. It covers 68.4 square miles in total, of which 65.9 square miles are land and 2.4 square miles are water (about 3.6% water). The elevation is about 1,493 feet. The township is in the Central Time Zone. The ZIP code is 55769 and the area code is 218.
The population was 1,681 at the 2010 census (1,666 in 2000). The population density was about 25.5 people per square mile.
In 2000, there were 714 households and 491 families living in the township. The racial makeup was predominantly White (about 98.6%), with small numbers of Native American, Asian, and people of two or more races; Hispanic or Latino made up about 0.3%.
