Doris Brennan Weir (May 10, 1921 – October 13, 1988) was an American swimmer from Providence, Rhode Island. She started swimming at the Olneyville Boys' Club when she was 11 and won many events in New England junior and senior championships, from 100 yards to 3.5 miles. In 1937 she won the national 500-yard freestyle title in Chicago. Weir qualified for the 1940 Summer Olympics, but the Games were canceled because of World War II. She graduated from Sargent College in 1942 and later taught at Classical High School and the University of New Hampshire. She is honored in both the Boston University and Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame. She helped with the McDermott Indoor Pool project in Warwick, Rhode Island.
