Dorinha Rezende
Dorinha Rezende, born Maria Auxiliadora Seabra Rezende on 1 October 1964 in Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil, is a Brazilian politician and university professor. Although born in Goiás, she has spent her political career representing Tocantins. She served as a federal deputy from 2011 to 2023 and has been a senator for Tocantins since February 2023. She is a member of UNIÃO (since 2022), and has previously been affiliated with PDS, PFL, and DEM. She is commonly known as Dorinha Rezende or Professora Dorinha. She is the daughter of Antônio dos Santos Seabra and Maria Consuêlo Bastos. In office, she voted in favor of Dilma Rousseff’s impeachment, against the 2015 tax reforms, in favor of the 2017 labor reform, and against opening a corruption investigation into Michel Temer.
