Chesterfield County School District is the public school system for Chesterfield County, South Carolina. It has been the county’s only district since 1968. The district runs two primary schools, seven elementary/intermediate schools, three middle schools, and four high schools. Grades PreK–12 are served. The superintendent is Dr. Chris Ballenger. The NCES District ID is 4501560. In 2019–2020, about 6,988 students were enrolled with a student–teacher ratio of 13.9 to 1.
