Diego Barber is a classical and jazz guitarist from Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, Spain. He has made albums for Sunnyside and Origin Records.

Growing up in a family of musicians, he studied at several conservatories and with many teachers. He earned a classical guitar degree from the Salamanca Higher Conservatory of Music and studied in Athens and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. He won first prizes at the Leo Brouwer Guitar Festival in Spain (2003) and in a competition by the Miami Classical Guitar Society.

Barber lives in New York City. He has recorded the albums Calima, The Choice, and Tales with various jazz musicians for Sunnyside Records. His duo album Tales, with pianist Craig Taborn, received strong recognition and appeared on several 2014 best-of lists. He also co-led the 2011 quintet album 411, released by Origin Records.
