Dick Fight Island
Dick Fight Island is a fantasy yaoi manga by Reibun Ike. It began in 2019 in Japan, published by Libre, and the English edition from SuBLime (Viz Media) was released on May 11, 2021. The story is set on Pulau Yong'Unda, a fictional archipelago of eight islands that outsiders only learned about recently. Every four years, a tournament called The Great Wyrm Tournament decides the archipelago’s king. Eight clan champions fight one-on-one, and the twist is that the first person to orgasm loses the match. The fighters wear armor designed for the male body, and their clothes display the buttocks as a symbol of manliness.
The main character is Harto of the Jewel Tribe, who returns home after four years abroad with a secret trick to help him win. His boyfriend, Matthew, follows him to Pulau Yong'Unda, jealous of the attention Harto receives from other men. The second volume covers events after the tournament and the new relationships that develop.
Dick Fight Island has received positive reviews for its humor and world-building, as well as its art. The first English volume topped Amazon’s Romance and Yaoi/LGBTQ+ manga charts, and the second volume trended after a Barnes & Noble display card jokingly referenced SpongeBob’s Squidward. The first English volume, Dick Fight Island Vol. 1, was released on May 11, 2021 (ISBN 9781974717200).
