Devante Cole
Devante Lavon Andrew Dewar-Cole (born 10 May 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Luton Town in League One. He is the son of former England striker Andy Cole and has represented England at youth level up to under-19; he was called up to Jamaica in 2023.
Cole came through the Manchester City academy and spent loan spells with Barnsley and Milton Keynes Dons in 2014–15. He later played for Bradford City, Fleetwood Town, and Wigan Athletic, with loan periods at Burton Albion and Motherwell. He moved to Doncaster Rovers in 2020, then returned to Motherwell before joining Barnsley in 2021. At Barnsley he became a key scorer, finishing as the club’s top scorer in the 2022–23 and 2023–24 campaigns and helping them reach the play-offs in 2024. After a spell with West Bromwich Albion, he signed for Port Vale in September 2025 and moved to Luton Town in January 2026.
A quick and dangerous striker who can finish his chances and also operate on the wing, Cole is known for his pace and energy. He grew up supporting Manchester City, attended North Cestrian School in Altrincham, and has spoken about wanting to make his own name in football, separate from his famous father.
