Deutscher Pfadfinderbund Mosaik
Deutscher Pfadfinderbund Mosaik (DPBM) is the largest member of the Deutscher Pfadfinderverband (DPV). The DPV groups are interdenominational and politically independent. The DPBM is organized as a registered association, Pfadfinder-Bundesamt, based in Cologne. It is recognized as a charitable organization that supports youth welfare across Germany.
The DPBM traces its roots to the Deutscher Pfadfinderbund from 1911 to the mid-1920s and to later Scouting groups with right-wing political ties before 1933 and after 1945. The last and most notable predecessor was Deutscher Pfadfinderbund Westmark, which renamed itself Deutscher Pfadfinderbund Mosaik in the 1980s during a period of democratization.
