The 2007 All-Australian team honors the best AFL players from that season. After the home-and-away season, a panel named the 40 top players in their positions and announced the final 22 at the All-Australian Presentation Dinner. From the 40, the top 16 midfielders/ruckmen and the top 12 defenders and forwards were nominated. The final team includes six midfielders/ruckmen, six defenders/forwards, and four interchange players drawn from the remaining players. The team is honorary and does not play games. Nine Geelong players made the squad, and all were selected. The 2007 selection panel consisted of non-voting chairman Wayne Jackson, Rod Austin, Kevin Bartlett, Andrew Demetriou, Gerard Healy, Neil Kerley, Chris Mainwaring and Robert Walls. Note: the coach of the All-Australian team is traditionally the coach of the premiership team.
