Dealing with Destiny is a 2011 Australian comedy film directed by Colm O’Murchu and starring Luke Arnold. The story follows two brilliant physics students, Blake and Lloyd, who are competing for the University Medal on their final day of study. As they and their friends pull a run of last‑day pranks, misunderstandings grow and conflict arises.

Reception was mixed. Filmink said the film sometimes plays like the pilot of a sitcom and feels short for its eighty‑minute running time, but praised the leads’ performances and noted Australia’s emerging acting talent, including Clayton Moss, Steve Maresca, and Catherine Jermanus. Urban Cinefile found the characters likable and the Sydney setting appealing, but felt the story was lacking and left the film feeling superficial. SBS Movies gave a negative review, calling it a twee, stereotypical campus caper that would have fit in with early ’80s video store fare.
