David H. Zimmerman
David H. Zimmerman is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 99th District since January 6, 2015. He was born on April 13, 1956, in Narvon, Pennsylvania, and grew up on a dairy farm. Before joining the state House, he served as chairman of the East Earl Township Board of Supervisors.
Zimmerman was first elected to the Pennsylvania House in 2014 and has been reelected in 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022. In 2020, he was one of 26 Republicans who called for reversing Joe Biden’s certification for Pennsylvania, citing irregularities in the election.
In May 2022, GOP leadership removed him from most committees after he supported a primary challenger to Senator Ryan Aument. On September 24, 2022, while speaking in support of Doug Mastriano, Zimmerman said he had received an FBI subpoena related to January 6 and claimed he had turned off his phone tracker.
He is a member of the Pennsylvania Freedom Caucus. Zimmerman lives in East Earl Township, Lancaster County, with his wife, Ruth Ann. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
