David Giammarco
David Michael Giammarco is a Canadian-born actor, television host, journalist, and author. Born in Toronto, he studied drama and filmmaking at York University and started his career as an entertainment reporter at age 14 for The Toronto Sun, also hosting a radio show. He has written for U.S. magazines and newspapers including Playboy, Hello!, The Times, The Sunday Telegraph, and The Hollywood Reporter.
In 2002 he published For Your Eyes Only: Behind the Scenes of the James Bond Films. His research on Cold War history is included in the U.S. National Archives. Giammarco edited the James Bond edition of Cigar Aficionado in 2008, which became the magazine’s best-selling issue and featured interviews with Daniel Craig and Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.
He created and starred in TV projects such as Twi-Lite Zone: The Last Episode (1998) and DMG (1999). In 2003 he joined eTalk Daily as Senior Entertainment Reporter and Host, appearing on CTV and related channels. His screen work includes Freddy vs. Jason (2004), The Pitcher and the Pin-Up (2004), and Swing Vote (2008). He appeared in the Ian Fleming docudrama True Bond in 2008. Giammarco was invited on world tours by Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg for War of the Worlds in 2005 and for Mission: Impossible III in 2006.
