David Williams (born 28 January 1983 in Rockhampton, Queensland) is an Australian musician and artist. He is a descendant of the Wakka Wakka people from central southwest Queensland and grew up in Rockhampton, learning traditional songs from his grandmother.

From a young age he played the trombone in a musical family, and he also plays the didgeridoo. His brass training helps him blend traditional Indigenous sounds with contemporary styles, creating a unique didgeridoo sound. He has performed across Australia and internationally, including in Beijing, Shanghai, New Zealand and San Francisco. He has shared stages with James Morrison and Jane Rutter and has performed for John Travolta.

Williams has worked with various ensembles and orchestras, including a performance of Philip Bračanin’s Dance Gundah for didgeridoo and orchestra. Highlights include performing at the Qantas 85th Birthday in 2005, the Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony in 2008, and a bushfire memorial service at Westminster Abbey in 2009.

In visual art, David develops an Indigenous style that blends traditional and modern ideas. He held his first collaborative exhibition in 2003 and his first solo Australian exhibition in 2004, followed by his first overseas show in Sweden. His works are in private collections in several countries. He is the Creative Director of Gilimbaa, an Indigenous design agency. Through his didgeridoo performances and paintings, he aims to educate people about Aboriginal culture and foster a wider appreciation of it.
