Auburn is a small city in Bay County, Michigan, United States. It is part of the Saginaw, Midland, and Bay City metropolitan area and had 2,068 residents in 2020. The city covers about 1.06 square miles (mostly land).

History and government
Auburn was settled in 1854 and became an incorporated city in 1947. It has a city commission form of government. The mayor is Lee Kilbourn and the city administrator is David Haag.

Education
Auburn is served by Bay City Public Schools and is home to Bay City Western High School, Western Middle School, and Auburn Elementary School. Auburn Area Catholic School also serves the area. Grace Lutheran School has closed, so Lutheran students attend schools outside the city.

Notes
Two U.S. 10 overpasses serve the area: the eastern overpass exits only to the east, while the western overpass allows exits to both directions.
