Darryl Pilgrim
Darryl Pilgrim (born 30 June 1987) is an English professional darts player from Croydon, London, who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He started playing darts when he was eight years old, inspired by his father. He is right-handed, uses 20-gram darts, and his walk-on music is "Glad All Over" by The Dave Clark Five.
Pilgrim first appeared in a PDC major by qualifying for the UK Open in 2017. He reached the third round of the UK Open in 2018, where he was defeated by Steve West in a deciding leg.
He found success on the PDC Challenge Tour, including winning the Challenge Tour title in 2023. He also reached the semi-finals on the Challenge Tour in 2022. In 2023, he won a place on the PDC Tour Card through Q-School, with his card running from 2025 onward.
On the European Tour and Players Championship circuits, Pilgrim has made multiple appearances. He is a two-time quarter-finalist in Players Championship events and has qualified for four European Tour events, winning a few matches there. He debuted in the MODUS Super Series and earned weekly wins in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
In August 2023, Pilgrim set a MODUS record by recording a 122.69 average with three darts in a 4–0 win, while also posting the tournament's highest losing average (118.88) in a 4–2 defeat, in the same match where he hit a nine-dart finish. He later achieved his second career nine-darter in May 2024 at a Players Championship event, in a deciding-leg loss to Jelle Klaasen.
He also competed in the Amateur Darts Circuit (ADC) Global Championship, topping his group in December and reaching the semi-finals of Week One, then advancing to the Global Finals, where he again reached the semi-finals before losing to Devon Petersen.
In January 2024, Pilgrim won a PDC Tour Card at Q-School, earning status for the following years. In February 2025, he reached his second Players Championship quarter-final and, shortly after, qualified for the 2025 Belgian Darts Open, where he lost in the first round to Ryan Searle. In the 2025 European Darts Open, he defeated Madars Razma 6–3 in the first round but then lost to Peter Wright in the second round.
Outside of darts, Pilgrim works for Tesco and supports Crystal Palace Football Club.
