Danny Roy Moore (August 9, 1925 – early 2021) was an American politician and civil engineer from Louisiana. A conservative Democrat, he served one term in the Louisiana State Senate from 1964 to 1968, representing Claiborne and Bienville parishes. Born in Haynesville, he served in World War II on a B-24 bomber before earning a civil engineering degree from Louisiana State University and working as a land surveyor. In the Senate, he helped with projects such as the creation of Lake Claiborne. Moore married Patricia Camp in 1952 (divorced in 1976) and later Susan Butler (died 2006); he had two children, Danette and Daniel Judson Moore. He celebrated his 95th birthday in August 2020 and died in early 2021 at age 95.
