Leonard Wood (Prince Edward Island politician)
Leonard J. Wood (July 27, 1865 – April 13, 1957) was a Canadian farmer and trader who became a politician on Prince Edward Island. He represented the 3rd Queens district in the Legislative Assembly as a Conservative in three periods: 1904–1908, 1916–1919, and 1924–1927. Born in Mount Herbert, PEI, to Leonard Wood and Margaret Irving, he married Jessie May Stewart in 1889 and lived in Hopeton. He was defeated in the 1919 election. Wood served in the Executive Council as a minister without portfolio. He died on April 13, 1957, at age 91.
