DJ Shiwaawa: Ghanaian DJ, producer, and promoter
Terry Amoah Arthur, better known as DJ Shiwaawa, is a Ghanaian disc jockey, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He’s famous for his energetic live sets and his ability to mix many styles, including Afrobeats, R&B, Hip-Hop, Amapiano, Highlife, and Funk. He has been active in the music scene since the early 2010s.
In 2018, he won the Artiste DJ of the Year at the Ghana DJ Awards while working with the late Ebony Reigns. He started DJing as a child in his mother’s bar in Nyakrom and rose to fame for his dynamic performances and broad musical taste. In 2016, he was nominated for Artist DJ of the Year and Discovery DJ of the Year at the Ghana DJ Awards.
Shiwaawa has worked with RuffTown Records as Ebony Reigns’ personal DJ and collaborated with the group VVIP. He has performed alongside many Ghanaian artists, including Reggie Rockstone, Samini, Wendy Shay, Adina Thembi, Trigmatic, and Freda Rhymz. He has also appeared on TV with outlets like 4syte TV, Viasat 1, Onua TV, and Kwese Sports TV.
His gigs have taken him from Ghana to countries such as Nigeria, Australia, Fiji, Samoa, and the Cook Islands. He has released several tracks and collaborations that showcase his production skills.
Beyond performing, he works to promote Ghanaian and African music worldwide. One notable project is Music Tourism, a platform that blends travel with live music experiences to share African music and culture with a global audience.
