Carinodrillia elocata
Carinodrillia elocata is an extinct species of sea snail in the family Pseudomelatomidae, the turrids and their relatives. It lived in oceans from the Miocene to the Pliocene epochs and fossils have been found in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and Panama. The shell reaches about 27 millimeters in length. There is a subspecies named Carinodrillia elocata meta from the Bowden Formation in Jamaica. The fossils are dated to roughly 7.2 to 2.6 million years ago. Synonyms include Drillia elocata.
