Cuscal
Cuscal Limited is an Australian payments and data provider for banks, credit unions, mutual banks, corporates and fintechs. Headquartered in Sydney, it serves customers across Australia and had about 591 employees in 2023. It trades on the ASX as CCL and is regulated by APRA as an authorised deposit-taking institution and by ASIC. Cuscal’s origins go back to 1966 as the Credit Union Services Corporation, later becoming the Credit Union Services Corporation (Australia) Limited, and it changed its name to Cuscal Limited in December 2005 after replacing the state-based credit union bodies. It has operated as a Special Service Provider under the financial institutions scheme and released the Credit Union Code of Practice in 1994. In 2014, Cuscal acquired Strategic Payments Services, and in 2023 it cut some services to Binance.
