Ryan Tyler is the stage name of American country singer Ryan Lindsay McPherson, born October 6, 1973, in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up in Duluth, Georgia, studied at Arizona State University, and moved to Nashville in 2001 with her husband, Tyler Rygmyr, to pursue a music career. She chose the name Tyler because it’s easier to pronounce. In 2003 she signed with Arista Nashville and released two singles that charted on Billboard Hot Country Songs: “Run, Run, Run” and “The Last Thing She Said.” She also co-wrote songs for other artists. Her Arista album was never finished, and she was released from the label in 2004. Afterward she performed concerts in Arizona with artists like Clay Walker, Tracy Lawrence, and Dusty Drake.
