Cottage Economy is a book by William Cobbett, first published in 1821 in the United Kingdom. It gives practical advice for running a labourer's household—how to bake bread, brew beer, keep livestock, and other useful tips for managing a family’s affairs. The goal is to help the working class live well through self-sufficiency. It is often seen as a timeless guide to practical living. A copy of Cottage Economy was once in the library of Andrew Jackson Jr., son of U.S. president Andrew Jackson.
