Scirpophaga marginepunctellus is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Joseph de Joannis in 1927. It lives in Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Katanga, West Kasai), Madagascar, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, and Sudan. The wingspan is about 25–30 mm in males and 36–44 mm in females. Classification: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Arthropoda; Class Insecta; Order Lepidoptera; Family Crambidae; Genus Scirpophaga; Species marginepunctellus. Synonyms include Schoenobius marginepunctellus de Joannis, 1927 and Scirpophaga marginepunctella.
