Cole Dewhurst
Cole Dewhurst (born June 23, 2003) is an American soccer defender who plays for Rhode Island FC as number 16. He was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, is 6 ft 2 in tall, and began his youth career with FC Stars before joining the New England Revolution academy in 2016.
In 2020, he committed to Providence College to play for the Friars, where he appeared in 67 games and scored 3 goals between 2021 and 2025. He made his professional debut with New England Revolution II on April 10, 2021, coming on as an 82nd-minute substitute in a 1–0 win over Fort Lauderdale CF. In fall 2021, he joined Providence College to continue his college soccer.
In 2025, Dewhurst joined Rhode Island FC. His parents are Sarah and former footballer Jason Dewhurst, and he has a sister, Chloe, who is a high jumper at Springfield College and was an All-American in the 2022 NCAA Indoor Track National Championship, finishing sixth in the high jump.
