City Channel Dublin was a cable television channel based in Dublin, Ireland. It operated under a license for cable and MMDS and appeared on NTL Ireland’s digital cable system. The channel launched on 4 October 2005 and closed in September 2011 after going bankrupt. It was the country’s first attempt at a commercial local TV network and a cable-only channel.

Led by former RTÉ presenter David Harvey, City Channel expanded in early 2006 with Galway and Waterford channels, sharing about 85% of their content while keeping some local programming. About 20 staff (in addition to presenters) worked at a purpose-built studio in the Sandyford area of Dublin. The lineup included a mix of local and imported shows, such as the Polish-language Oto Polska, coverage of FM104’s Adrian Kennedy phone show, and an LGBT-focused program called Free To Express.

City Channel Dublin also aired shows unique to Dublin, including The Warehouse with Erich King, which ran for five episodes featuring local interviews and a musical jam session. Other programs included Better Health with Lisa Cannon and Travel Abroad, also hosted by Cannon. In August 2011 the company denied rumours about financial trouble, but the channel closed shortly afterward.
