Chylismiella pterosperma, commonly known as wingfruit suncup, is the only species in the monotypic genus Chylismiella. It is a flowering plant in the evening primrose family (Onagraceae), within the order Myrtales, and is native to the western United States. It grows in several habitats, including sagebrush. This slender annual herb has an erect stem up to about 14 centimeters tall. Its leaves reach up to 3 centimeters and are densely covered in bristly hairs. The nodding inflorescence carries small flowers with white petals less than 3 millimeters long; the petals are sometimes yellow at the base and fade to purple as they wither. The fruit is a straight capsule about 1 to 3 centimeters long, with a thick wing running down the middle.
