Sheboygan Indian Mound Park
Sheboygan Indian Mound Park is a public park in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. It spans about 15 acres and features 18 Native American burial mounds, including the Kletzien Mound Group, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. The park is run by the City of Sheboygan and sits in a residential area bordered by the Town of Wilson. Wisconsin’s Burial Sites Preservation Law protects the mounds. In 1967, Julilly House Kohler led a campaign to save the mounds, helping the site become a county park. In 1968 Kohler helped organize the Sheboygan Indian Mound Park Association, Inc.
