Christ and the Woman Taken in Adultery (Cranach)
Christ and the Woman Taken in Adultery is a series of about thirty paintings by Lucas Cranach the Elder and his workshop, with his son Lucas Cranach the Younger playing an important role. The pictures depict the biblical story from John 8:1–11. The oldest surviving works were painted in the 1520s by Cranach himself, and later ones were made by his workshop.
