Tlumačov is a small municipality and village in the Zlín District, in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,400 residents. The village lies about 12 km west of Zlín, on the border between the Vizovice Highlands and the Upper Morava Valley. The highest point is 308 meters above sea level. The Mojena Stream runs through the area, and the Morava River forms the western border nearby. The municipality covers about 15.5 square kilometers.

Tlumačov was first mentioned in 1141 in a document by Bishop Jindřich Zdík. The D55 motorway passes through the area, and the Přerov–Břeclav railway line serves it. The main landmark is the Church of Saint Martin, which is first documented in 1373; its tower was added in 1585, and the church was rebuilt in 1695 after a fire in 1691.
