Chris Mohr (born May 11, 1966) is a former American football punter who played in the NFL. He grew up in Thomson, Georgia, and played high school football at Briarwood Academy before starring at the University of Alabama, where he was the starting punter for four years and earned recognition as the SEC’s best punter as a senior.

Mohr was drafted in the sixth round of the 1989 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and spent the 1989 season there. After a stint in the World League with the Montreal Machine in 1991, he joined the Buffalo Bills, playing from 1991 to 2000 and appearing in three Super Bowls (XXVI, XXVII, XXVIII). He signed with the Atlanta Falcons in 2001 and played there through 2004. He joined the Washington Redskins in 2005 but was released before the season. Mohr officially retired in 2007 after signing a one-day contract with the Bills.

Over his NFL career, Mohr totaled 1,152 punts for 46,570 yards, averaging 40.4 yards per punt. He earned PFWA All-Rookie Team honors in 1989 and All-World League honors in 1991.

Personal: Mohr has four sons — Garrett, Harrison, Quinn, and Chapman — with Garrett currently an NFL free agent. He and Casey Beathard co-wrote the song “I See Me” for Travis Tritt, which appeared on Tritt’s album My Honky Tonk History.
