Chris Braswell (born October 25, 2001) is an American football linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL. He grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, and attended Saint Frances Academy. A five-star recruit, Braswell chose Alabama over programs like Georgia, LSU, Clemson, and Ohio State. He converted to Islam at age 10 and has been active in the Islamic Society of Tuscaloosa, encouraging some teammates to explore the faith.

Braswell joined Alabama as an early enrollee in January 2020. He didn’t play in his freshman year, but contributed on special teams and as a rotational pass rusher in 2021, finishing with 11 tackles, one tackle for loss, and two quarterback hurries. In 2022 and 2023, he was part of Alabama’s pass-rush rotation and the “cheetah” package, recording 20 tackles, four tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, six quarterback pressures, and one forced fumble in 2023. After considering entering the NFL Draft, he returned for his senior season and earned Second-team All-SEC honors in 2023.

Braswell was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 57th overall. As of Week 15, 2025, he has 42 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. He is listed at 6 feet 3 inches tall and 255 pounds, and wears number 43.
