Gundur is a village in Kalwakurthy taluk of Mahabubnagar district, Telangana, India. In 2001, it had a population of 6,506 (3,311 men and 3,195 women), with a sex ratio of 965 and a literacy rate of 80.64%. The village is governed by a Sarpanch, the elected head under the Panchayati Raj system. The local language is Telugu. Nearby villages are Panjugula (4 km), Suddakal (4 km), Polmoor (5 km), Mukurala (5 km), and Nadigadda (7 km). Gundur is surrounded by Tadoor Mandal to the west, Telkapalle Mandal to the south, Vangoor Mandal to the east, and Nagarkurnool Mandal to the west.
