Chennai–Nagarsol Express
Chennai Central–Nagarsol Express is an Indian Railways express train in the Southern Railway zone, running weekly between Chennai Central (MAS) in Tamil Nadu and Nagarsol (NSL) in Maharashtra. The train numbers are 16003 (Chennai to Nagarsol) and 16004 (Nagarsol to Chennai), and it began service on 2 March 2014. It covers about 1,366 kilometers in roughly 27 hours, averaging around 55 km/h including stops.
The route passes through Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra, stopping at about 24 stations, including Arakkonam, Renigunta, Gooty, Dhone, Kacheguda, Nizamabad, Hazur Sahib Nanded, Parbhani, Jalna and Aurangabad before reaching Nagarsol. The train has a mix of coaches: three AC 2-tier, three AC 3-tier, thirteen Sleeper Class, three General Unreserved and two SLR coaches, with no pantry car. It is powered on an electrified route by an Arakkonam-based WAP-4 locomotive.
The Chennai–Nagarsol Express shares its rake with the Chennai–Sainagar Shirdi Express (train numbers 22601/22602).
